Pole (2010)

Amy’s first exposure to pole dancing threw her life into a tailspin, leading her to abandon academic goals in favor of the strenuous life of a competitive dancer in the pole sub-culture. Still haunted by her strict childhood as a ballerina, she must now reconcile the scars of her past with the stigma of her new craft, and resolve her tortured relationship with dance and her body image. For Amy, pole dancing is a way of life. Yet she must struggle to be taken seriously both in her new community and in society.
